Citay brings expansive '70s guitar into the future on 'Dream Get Together' | NYDailyNews.com
|
The '70s references come fast and furious in the music of Citay. Gleaming, double lead guitars soar in tandem in a way that screams Thin Lizzy or Queen in 1975. But the way those guitars wander into long instrumental stretches hints at the expansive style of "Blow By Blow"-era Jeff Beck. At the same time, there's an orchestral sweep to the arrangements that casts the memory back to the work of Mike Oldfield circa "Tubular Bells."
